How much is hot tub wiring?

This depends on a lot of different factors. But you can expect the cost to run anywhere from $300 to $1,600 for the wiring.

Does hot tub wiring need to be buried?

Simply, yes. You want to make sure the wires are buried at least 18″ deep and with a GFCI outlet to prevent issues.

Do hot tubs need special wiring?

Sort of. Your main concern is the outlet and circuit. Your hot tub or spa should have a dedicated circuit and utilize a GFCI outlet.

Do you need a permit to wire a hot tub?

Possibly. Most townships require a permit for all exterior construction and electrical circuits. Check with your local township for full details.
